Hi everyone,
www.sonomawireworks.com has a very cool new adapter that plugs into your wireless phone. You could send vocals or guitar or anything else that will go through a 1/4in phono plug. It's hard to believe those 1/4in phono plugs are still in use. However, I know from personal experience that they are highly reliable and that is probably the reason. Anyone who prefers to use a wireless phone connection for their Music Collaboration might be interested.
http://fjam.zapto.org---https://sites.google.com/site/fjatestsite/home
fjam.zapto.org has started using google website hosting. I am a little familiar with this google app. Their Music Collaboration site seems very functional and active. I know that google webhosting is very secure and there is plenty of storage. It's a bold thing to use this type of webhosting for something as dynamic as a Music Collaboration site, but it obviously works pretty well. If anyone is having trouble with the cost of webhosting your site, you might want to consider it.
Jeff
The future is now. Let's get started. With the improvements in bandwidth over the past few years it's easy to collaborate with musicians all over the world. Phone apps anyone?
What's new in Music Collaboration
There has never been a time when music collaboration has been so easy. In the privacy of your own home. You don't have to lug your gear anywhere. I wish we always had this.

Disabled List News
Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I went through the main list. As usual, there were some casualties.
www.slykatt.com
www.lumbertwig-online.org
www.cocompose.net
www.tunerooms.com
Several others have moved on to other genres of the world and are not likely to be back. They include:
esession.com-Seems to be a musical job bank.
37signals.com-Seems to be a internet marketing site.
artistcollaboration.com-Is for artists of paint and picture.
simplexmax.com-is a website development site
They have been removed from the disabled list. Good luck to these old friends in their new Apps.

http://www.songbloom.com
Here's a new one I just found. They don't need my help. They are only seven behind us on the first page of a google search. They are in most ways a regular collaboration site. The interesting thing about them is the site was setup to produce songs for sale.
That's a good idea. The best, most fun part of music collaboration without the soul strangling business side of things. This could work.

I will Rock
Being a Rocker is more than just standing on stage and plugging in an air microphone. You've got to have 12 bar in your soul. If the tasteless mobs leave me behind, My Rockers Soul and I will be just fine without them, thank you very much. So long as I am sad very time I miss a Bob Seger Concert and so long as my bumper sticker says "I'm not gonna be old until the "Mik" gets satisfied." I am whole. So long as distortion is my favorite effect and so long as my two favorite guitars are named Gibson and Fender; I will Rock.

broadjam.com
Hi everyone,
I thought it was about time I put in a proper mention of broadjam.com
It's not a music collaboration site, so it doesn't fit the criteria for inclusion on the main list. To do anything useful, it costs and I prefer free, fun sites. They do have applications for registering copyrights so you can sell your songs. Unfortunately, it is fairly pricey. About fifty dollars per song I believe.
The reason I am mentioning it even though it doesn't fit the criteria is because I have been on their mailing list for years and almost everyday they send me offers to buy songs. Many are modest offers of only a few hundred dollars per song. However, lately these offers to buy songs have become much more substantial. Many are in the tens of thousands of dollars. I have never submitted a song myself, but the numbers they throw around are interesting. What's the catch? I don't have a clue. I just thought it was interesting and anyone who is interested in monetizing might want to check it out.
PS. If anyone makes money at this, please let us know. Good Luck.

Our disabled list grows, but so does the main list.
It's always a little sad to me when one goes. The good news is the main list grows as well. A big welcome to www.scratchaudio.com and www.collaborationkingdom.com
I have added these to to the disabled list.
koblo.com
jamglue.com
musigy.com
bojam.com
Three others have reassigned to other genres of our world and are unlikely to return.
musicdish.com
killerstartups.com
mobijamz.com

Copyrighting
Keeper mentioned that the instantaneous copyright available on this new Music Collaboration site may be alright for local use on the site itself, but if you have a serious work you intend to sell a little more formal and laborious copyrighting is probably a good idea.
It's a great thought, I hope they keep working on it.

New Music Collaboration Site
Hi Everyone,
We have two new Music Collaboration Sites: Myblogband.com and www.buildajam.com/
Myblogband uses a patent pending web application for their music collaboration site. It sounds interesting.
Buildajam.com looks like a fine edition to our list.

New Music Collaboration Sites
Hi Everyone,
We have six new Music Collaboration sites today for a total of 13 this week. You will find them, as usual, on the main list. They are not in any sort of order. They are just a big pile, but it is all in one place and that was the goal. If anyone wants to work on a rating system. Please contact me.

Sad News-disabled list grows
Hi Everyone,
We have had 16 Music Collaboration sites go disabled status. I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that many of these Domain Names are probably available. So if you want/need one, check the whois for the domain name and contact them.
I'm a bit of a Domainer so if anyone wants me to be an Agent to acquire one Please email me.
I did an www.estibot.com appraisal on the following and consider them good candidates for a Music Collaboration site. They are as follows:
tonos.com
home-recording-studio.com
artistcollaboration.com-Listed forsale@ $400.00 OBO
jamnow.com
myvirtualband.com
spicemusic.com
Cyberjammin.com
96decibels.com
seekerfinder.com
rifftrader.com
loopwise.com
simplexmax.com
Again the status of any of these Domain Names would have to be investigated, I only suggest that may be available and that they are good candidates for the right person at the right price.

Second Place
Hi Everyone,
I'm exstatic, second place on generic search for music collaboration on Google. Thanks to everyone who made it happen. I got a radio going on the site now. I'm not sure how it happened, but hey, enjoy. I like to listen to it when I do my email.

kompoz.com
Kompoz.com looks like the real deal. Easy to use, a good range of skill levels in the members. No need for anyone to be intimidated. Well done. 5/5

http://cyberjamin.com
Does not look too useful as a collaboration site. It seems to be something like a parked domain. They are selling acoustic stuff, I think.

bojam.com
This is only my second review, but it's quick. It was a bit of a disappointment. It started out good. It has a video that promises easy real-time jamming with anyone, anywhere. So naturally I signed up. Turns out to be some kind of a waiting list. Maybe if there is enough interest, someday type-deal.
Well, there are plenty of sites that actually work, right now. So I give these guys a .5 rating for now.
